After many tries, I have perfected my sesame cookies. The addition of sesame oil, sesame powder, and sesame coating gives these cookies three levels of intense sesame flavor. And let’s just not say anything about the crunch, that is to be experienced once you bite into them. Plus, you will feel less guilty eating these cookies because sesame seeds are packed with many nutrients.

What you need

sesame seed

2 tbsp sesame seed

granulated sugar

1 cup granulated sugar

egg white

all purpose flour

1 ½ cup all purpose flour

unsalted butter

14 tbsp unsalted butter

vanilla extract

1 tsp vanilla extract

salt

¼ tsp salt

baking soda

¼ tsp baking soda

black sesame seeds

2 tbsp black sesame seeds

sesame oil

1 tsp sesame oil

baking powder

½ tsp baking powder

egg

Instructions

Grease two baking trays and heat the oven to 375F.

Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt together and set it aside. In a separate bowl beat butter and sugar till light and pale in color, about 5 minutes. Add egg, sesame oil, and vanilla extract. Then add sesame powder and beat again. Now add sifted dry ingredients in three batches and incorporate after each addition.

Take a big piece of plastic cling wrap and spread it on the surface. Dump the cookie mixture on top of it and spread it into a rectangle. Roll it into a log, along with the plastic as I did in the video. Refrigerate this log for an hour or freeze for 30 minutes if in a hurry. The rest is pinned in the comments section.
